"Using Lateral Thinking led to a major break through to increasing production and saved the company 30 million dollars a year"
David Tanner, Director – Dupont Centre for Innovation.
Today, businesses and organisations need to increase innovation to stay ahead. We need new ways of thinking that create opportunities we did not know existed. To be creative or innovative we need to change previously established thinking patterns to find alternative ideas in a deliberate and formal way.
This is Lateral Thinking™. The term was invented by Dr Edward de Bono. He divides thinking into two types – he calls one ‘vertical thinking’ which uses the process of logic - the traditional and historical method. He calls the other Lateral Thinking, which involves distributing an apparent thinking sequence and arriving at a solution from a different direction.
Using Lateral Thinking™ you will learn to:
> Increase new and practical ideas dramatically
> Challenge current thinking to find new opportunities
> Be instantly creative when you need it most
> Create new ideas on demand
> Make innovative thinking part of your everyday work style
